Terms of service

What you're buying. A licence to run the Alien XY software on your own server, under the terms in

`LICENSE.txt` (included with every download and shown in full during installation). In short: you may

run and modify it for your own business; you may not resell it, redistribute it, or host it as a

competing platform. The `sdk/` folder is separately MIT-licensed, since it's meant to be built into

software you sell to your own customers.

Licence tiers. Starter covers one business running one production store, with 12 months of free

updates from the day you buy. Growth covers one business running unlimited stores or brands, with

updates for as long as the product is sold. Neither is a subscription -- once bought, your installed

copy keeps working indefinitely, whether or not you ever update it again.

Delivery. Products are digital and delivered electronically: an instant download plus a licence key

on the order confirmation page, and by email if email delivery is enabled. There is nothing to ship.

Payment. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Changes. We may update these terms as the product changes; the licence terms for a version you've

already bought don't retroactively change.
